Alma Awards 2012-Brenda Villa & Jessica Steffens

Doing PR is always fun, but even more exciting when I get to style my clients.
Last night I attended the Alma Awards with Brenda Villa & Jessica Steffens. Both Olympic gold medalist in water polo. They got a special honor at the show, along with a few other Olympians.

The fabulous part is when I get to do double marketing by putting a celebrity in one of my fashion client.

For Brenda Villa we picked out a gown from my client, designer Eduardo Lucero. She wore Elsa, a 5 inch high heels from client Q by Pasquale , she looked absolutely beautiful!

Jessica Steffens wore an amazing print dress from Rachel Pally it complimented her so perfectly. She also wore shoes from Q by Pasquale. The entire outfit was so fabulous on her!

A stylist job is not easy guys, You see all these fabulous celebrities in amazing outfits, but it takes a lot of pre coordination, fittings, pulling options and traveling back and forth picking things up. I am so happy my girls looked amazing and where happy.

A big Thank you to Sue Wong and Adolfo Sanchez which we also worked with.

Hope you enjoy the show, which will air this Friday, 9/21 on ABC.

DIY Framing Fashion Shopping Bags

All done
Double stick tape your bag to frame backing

Shopping at my favorite store is always a treat. The last time I was at Chanel I got the prettiest shopping bag. I was inspired to do something with it and thought why not frame it! I found the perfect window box frame at Target. Only steps you have to take is figuring out the placement. Double stick tape the bag to the backing of the frame.

Great easy way to put some couture up on your walls. I also did this to a Louboutin bag & Cartier. Picture below of my office wall.

Studded Blazer

Finished Product

Beginning of studding

A few months ago I was inspired to stud a blazer. Found the blazer at Zara for $40 (What a deal, was previously $150) and bought my studs at Studsandsprikes, I used English 77 Golden. The studs are great, the only problem for me was they only have two prongs. I’m used to the four prong from MJ Trims. I definitely think for a project like this you need studs with four prongs.

The final product came out amazing! Loving my new DIY project.

Have fun studding!

DIY Miu Miu’s Embellished Socks

Sometime last year I saw these pretty socks and was so taken back. But when I saw the price tag I was also taken back! J $435 for these pretty socks, Yikes!

Told myself this would be a good DIY project. Bought the socks at Target, just your regular tall knee length socks. Found the pearls & beads at Wal-Mart And ordered the sequence from my favorite online store Mj Trim.

I decided to sew mine vs glue, figured they would stay on longer. Also remember to stretch the sock while putting these one. Fun creative project to try, but im not going to lie did feel a little like my grandma! Hee hee

Hope you guys like and get inspired to try to make something you love but don't want to pay too much money for. I’ve been stopped on the street so many times asking me where I got them, its always a nice feeling to say I made them. Even got one offer to buy them off me! J

Vintage Shopping

In my last trip to NYC which was about 2 weeks ago, I wanted to take as much free time to do some vintage shopping. I was able to go to a few stores in the upper east side did not find much, but a few great tops and rings. But one store ive heard about was INA, they have a few locations around the city. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to go but was so happy to hear they have an online shop. What I did find was these Christian Louboutins! I’ve been wanting a basic black leather pump. I’ve always liked the Pigalle style just never got around to buying them. This style has a patent leather design in the front a little different but I love it. When I finally got them the bottom looked perfect, barely if even used and for less than ½ of what I would have originally paid this was a HUGE score!

I love vintage shopping, can’t wait to go back to NY and actually visit the stores! J
